Game Vault Agent Holding Percentage

Holding comes up in almost every Game Vault seller conversation. It is simpler than it sounds.

The short version

Holding is the part an agent retains, as agreed with whoever supplies their seat. It is agreed between you and your supplier. It is not the price you pay for Game Vault points.

Two numbers, two purposes

  • Promo rate (9%, 5,000-point minimum): what buying points from us costs on the current offer.
  • Holding: the agent's side of the arrangement within the tree.

When a seller says "what percent do I get", make sure everyone knows which of the two is meant.

How it is decided

Seat level, volume and how long you have worked with your supplier all play a part. We confirm the figure for your seat in chat before you pay.

What to confirm in writing

  1. The exact figure for your seat.
  2. How and when it is settled.
  3. Whether it changes as you grow.

If you run sellers

Give each one the same written clarity about their own arrangement. Vague percentages cause more fallouts between distributors and agents than anything else.

Common questions

It is confirmed in chat for your seat before you pay.

Where should holding be recorded?
